Oarsome Chance held the first (of many) open days on July 31. Funders, friends and partners of Oarsome Chance spent the day finding out what the staff and young people of Oarsome Chance have been working on and to discuss how they can help in future exciting projects.
A big thank you to the OC young people who were excellent ambassadors and tour guides.
The Open Day gave us a chance to share our plans for the next year, including the roll out of our NCFE curriculum – NCFE is one of the country’s major providers of accredited qualifications in Occupational Skills.
Other news we shared was the launch of our refreshed Post 16 provision, which we’ve called ‘Oarsome Pathways’. A training programme designed to support young people aged 16-18 who need extra support and training to access further education, apprenticeships and/or employment.
Lots of brilliant conversations were had, and a chance for our staff team to tell the story of the fantastic work they are doing for the young people we work with. Thanks for all their hard work, over the last year and for making the day such a success.
