Amanda has a varied career and over the last forty years has worked in a number of different settings with children, their families and the communities in which they live.  As well as working within the statutory sector, she has considerable experience within voluntary and charitable groups as an employee, trustee and advisor. Many of these roles have been within areas of social and economic disadvantage, supporting communities to be stronger and make positive changes.

As well as direct work, she also has extensive experience as a manager and leader of strategic service development.  This includes self-evaluation and quality assurance.  Currently she works with social workers, supporting recruitment and retention of a high quality workforce.

In her spare time she loves music, being in the outdoors, especially when travelling around in her motorhome, practising yoga and spending time with family and friends.
