Get set for the Portsmouth Pull

On Saturday 16 June four rowing teams will battle it out in a lap of Portsmouth Harbour to raise vital funds for Oarsome Chance.

The Portsmouth Pull course will take the 23-ft wooden rowing skiffs past the island city’s iconic landmarks including the Spinnaker Tower, Gunwharf Quays, HMS Warrior, Nelson’s flagship HMS Victory, the continental ferry port and the historic naval dockyard, home to the UK’s largest ever aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth. The teams then head towards the medieval Portchester Castle and Hardway, where troops embarked in 1944 heading for the D-Day landings, before passing back under Gosport’s Millennium Bridge for a sprint finish.

All slots for this year’s pilot event have been snapped up so come to cheer on the crews going head-to-head in Portsmouth's world-famous harbour and find out how you can take part next year. No rowing experience required and training provided.
